The airline is partnering with DreamWorks Animation to introduce a new family-friendly airframe to their fleet: A Boeing 737-700 celebrating the release of the next movie in the Trolls franchise, “Trolls Band Together.”
Livery Celebrates Themes of “Travel and Meaningful Connections”
Executives for Southwest say the new aircraft theme is meaningful for both the movie and the airline, as it celebrates travel, friendship, and reconnecting with loved ones. The Boeing 737-700 features the main characters of the film, with some of the Trolls also appearing inside the aircraft’s window shades.
In addition, the in-flight entertainment package will feature the previous two Trolls movies for families to watch, along with “surprise and delight” pop-up events at airports and on flights, leaving flyers with memorable moments and Trolls-themed gifts.
“As the airline with Heart, we’re inspired by the uplifting mantra of the film and value the opportunity to take our Customers to their version of a ‘better place,’” Brandy King, managing director of communications at Southwest said in a press release. “Whether that’s home to see family or setting out on their own new adventure.”
To celebrate the new collaboration, Southwest is presenting a Trolls sweepstakes. The winner will travel round trip to Los Angeles aboard Southwest and tickets to see the family-friendly film. Flyers can enter for free at southwest.fm/trolls.
