The hotelier announced their partnership with outdoor hospitality company AutoCamp, offering the blend of a boutique hotel with the spirit of luxury camping in some of America’s most iconic places.
Camping Partnership Includes Earning Points, Using Points, and On-Property Benefits
Under the new partnership, AutoCamp’s first location on Cape Cod is available to book through Hilton.com and the Hilton smartphone app. As a new concept, AutoCamp offers guests the opportunity to stay under the stars in an experience they say “goes beyond ‘glamping.’”
Through AutoCamp’s partnership with Airstream, each location will feature custom-designed trailers for guests, along with the options to stay in a cabin or luxury tent. Instead of a lobby, guests will visit “The Clubhouse,” a central community space to check-in, get food and beverage from “The Kitchen,” as well as buy a selection of retail items from boutique marketplaces.
Poised for quick expansion, the concept is planning to add new locations adjacent to other prime outdoor spots and national parks. In addition to the Cape Cod location, AutoCamp currently has properties in Asheville, NC; The Catskills of NY; and Joshua Tree, Sequoia, and Yosemite, CA. Another destination will open in Texas’ Hill Country in 2025. All properties will soon be available to book directly through the Hilton Website.
Beyond earning and redeeming points when booking through Hilton’s channels, elite members will also get bonuses with their stay. Silvers receive two eco-friendly water bottles per stay, Gold’s get the waters and a bundle of firewood, while Diamond members get water, firewood, and a s’mores kit per stay.
The move into “glamping” comes as more travelers are looking to get away from the traditional hotel stays and want to stay more like a local when they travel. According to the 2024 Hilton Trends Report, more than half of Millennial and Gen Z travelers are increasing their budget for exploration and adventure with their travel – more than any other generation.
