With the full integration of Radisson Hotels, the loyalty program announced a new extended window for booking awards, along with bringing back one of the best tools from Radisson’s former loyalty program.
AwardSaver Comes Back to Choice, With Booking Window Extended to 50 Weeks
The new benefits will take effect in early 2025, in time for a new loyalty earning year. When the changes take place, travelers will first notice the extended award booking window.
Currently, travelers are only allowed to book awards around 16 weeks ahead of time. Starting in 2025, that award booking window will be tripled to 50 weeks. The program says the extended window will allow travelers to plan for their trips well ahead of time, especially when it comes to luxury and upscale hotels at popular destinations.
In addition, travelers will have more flexibility in which type of room they can book at their favorite hotels. Premium rooms travelers will be able to select from include extra space rooms, rooms with a bigger view, or upgraded rooms at select properties.
Finally, Choice Privileges is adding a feature from Radisson’s former rewards program. Choice RewardSaver awards will come back in 2025, allowing flyers to book rooms for as low as 6,000 points per night – a discount of 2,000 points compared to the previous minimum.
“We are committed to continuously making it easier and more rewarding for Choice Privileges’ members to earn and redeem their points for stays and experiences around the world,” Noha Abdalla, chief marketing officer at Choice Hotels International, said in a statement. “These latest enhancements, coupled with our rapidly growing list of hotel options ranging from luxury and upscale properties and resorts to value-oriented hotels, ensure that members have the opportunities to use their points on what they care about most.”
With their integration of Radisson Hotels, Choice Privileges points can be used at over 7,000 hotels worldwide, including over 1,000 upscale and luxury hotels from both Radisson and Preferred Hotels and Resorts.
