The New York airline announced the new TrueBlue and Mosaic loyalty program on Wednesday, May 10, 2023.
JetBlue TrueBlue Lets Flyers Collect Tiles towards Mosaic Levels
JetBlue teased the new loyalty program in late 2022, announcing the program would expand to four loyalty tiers while sunsetting Take 3, Lucky 7, and Go Long bonuses at the end of the year. The new program – aligned to better match with Northeast Alliance partner American Airlines AAdvantage – offers new benefits for non-elite flyers along with more bonuses for the most frequent travelers.
In addition to earning TrueBlue points, JetBlue flyers will also earn TrueBlue Mosaic tiles with their flights and spending on all JetBlue credit cards. Flyers will earn one tile per $100 spent on qualifying purchases with JetBlue, JetBlue Vacations, Paisly by JetBlue, American Airlines airfare, and some extras and fees on JetBlue. Using the credit cards, cardholders earn one tile for every $1,000 in spend.
Non-frequent flyers can select a benefits with every 10 tiles earned, up to the first Mosaic elite tier at 50 tiles. The benefits travelers can select from include:
- Early boarding
- Priority security
- One free alcoholic beverage each flight
- Bonus points on JetBlue Vacations purchases (one-time use)
- 5,000 bonus TrueBlue points.
Mosaic 1 comes with all of those benefits, including free same-day flight switches, dedicated check-in, support lines, priority chat assistance, and a Heathrow Express upgrade. Flyers earn Mosaic 2 with 100 tiles, and includes a free upgrade to Even More Space seats at booking, pending availability.
At 150 tiles, flyers earn Mosaic 3 status, which includes four Move to Mint upgrade certificates. Flyers use one certificate per segment for domestic flights to upgrade, and two certificates per segment to upgrade on trans-Atlantic flights.
After earning 250 tiles, flyers earn Mosaic 4 status, which includes two more Mint upgrade certificates and four credits for one-way Blade airport helicopter transfers between Manhattan and either John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) or Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR).
Every time a flyer moves up to a new Mosaic level, they will also get their choice from the Mosaic Pick Your Perks Menu. Some of the options include:
- FoundersCard Blue membership
- Pet fee waiver
- 20-tile bonus
- Mint Suite priority (excludes Mint Studio)
Although not specifically stated, it is assumed that Spirit Airlines’ Free Spirit program will merge into the new TrueBlue Mosaic program once JetBlue completes its purchase of the Florida carrier. It is unclear where Silver and Gold members will align into the new TrueBlue.
