SAS Drops 1 Million Bonus Point SkyTeam Challenge

Scandinavian Airlines is offering members the chance to earn bonus miles towards future travel if they can achieve milestones aboard their partner carriers before the end of 2024.

Biggest Prize: 1 Million EuroBonus Miles for Flying 15 SkyTeam Members

The SAS EuroBonus challenge is simple: The more SkyTeam airlines you fly aboard before the end of the year, the more bonus miles you could earn towards free travel in the future. Travelers must register on the SAS mobile app to participate, and flights taken between October 8 and the registration date also count towards the challenge.

If participants can fly aboard five unique SkyTeam airlines by December 31, 2024, they can earn 10,000 EuroBonus bonus points. If they can log 10 flights aboard unique SkyTeam members, they will earn 100,000 bonus points. But if they can travel aboard 15 of the alliance’s 19 active members, they can earn one million EuroBonus bonus points. The points can be used on airlines across the alliance, including Delta Air Lines, Air France, KLM, and Virgin Atlantic.

In order for flights to count, SAS says flyers must use their EuroBonus number on each flight. Although the flights must be taken by the end of December 31, 2024, flyers can retroactively apply their flights during the promotion period in January 2025. Trips that are paid with cash or EuroBonus miles equally count towards the goal.

SAS stresses that it’s not the number of flights travelers take, but the number of operating airlines they fly aboard that counts. For example: If flyers book a flight with SAS then connect to Delta, that would count as two airlines towards the goal. Travelers can only participate once, and awards will be distributed in January 2025. The miles awarded are only bonus miles, and do not count towards status.
