Ace or Bogie? Wyndham Rolls Out Business-Ready Golf Carts

The company is introducing a special kind of golf cart that mixes business and pleasure at their resorts. Called the “Cubicle Caddie,” it offers guests the chance to literally take care of work while on the links.

Cubicle Caddy Features Green Screen, Desk, and Wi-Fi Hotspot

According to a recent study by Stanford University, more people are electing to go golfing mid-week than before the pandemic. This means the workforce has to balance their leisure habits with calls, e-mails, and remote meetings.

This is where the “Cubicle Caddy” comes into play. These specially-outfitted golf carts come with everything the modern business person needs to stay connected while perfecting their putting. Each one comes with a retractable green screen for video meetings, a detachable desk for writing e-mails between swings, and a 5G wi-fi hotspot to make sure you stay connected.

To complete the illusion, each carts also comes with noise-cancelling headphones and a wrinkle-free blazer, to make sure you look good while on camera. And when it’s time to get back in the pace of play, the golfers can use the built-in escape buttons – like a barking dog or crying baby – to slyly sneak away from the call.

“We know our members are spending less time in the office and more time working from unconventional places and so, the Cubicle Caddie was born,” Dana Rosenberg, senior vice president of marketing at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, said about the new carts. “Golf is a much-needed escape for so many and now, thanks to the Cubicle Caddie, our members can take advantage of that escape without worrying about what to do should the office come calling.”

The carts are only available at five courses in the Wyndham Golf Collection resorts, including the Cheyenne Mountain Resorts, A Dolce by Wyndham in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and the Club Wyndham Orange Tree Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona. Because these carts are free with a paid round, travelers won’t get more Wyndham Rewards points for reserving one – but may get points with their co-workers for using one.

New Amenity Introduced as Traveler Requests Go Wild

The new working golf cart comes as travelers want more from their hotels. Amenities requested above and beyond the traditional stay include diet water, melted ice cream, and rice bowls for pets.
