Delta Opens Window Seat Shop at JFK for Holiday Shopping

The airline is opening the Window Seat Shop in Terminal 4 at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), bringing together “some of the most coveted artisan gifts and goods from around the globe — and a jump on 2025 Medallion Status.”

Curated Gifts Include Brazilian Pottery, Nigerian Skateboards, and Experiences

Delta describes the pop-up gift shop as a showcase of “what the airline’s top destinations have to offer.” In addition to drawing inspiration from where they fly, the airline also partnered with former professional basketball player Carmelo Anthony to curate the shop selection.

Travelers flying through JFK can browse unique gift ideas, including Brazilian hand-crafted pottery from Elysian Collective, or skateboard decks from Nigeria’s first skateboarding company, WAFFLESNCREAM. Other eye-raising items include bread-shaped lamps by Japanese artist Yukiko Morita and a broccoli-patterned fleece from South Korea. On the experience side, flyers can buy a courtside seat for a New York Knicks game with an on-court shootaround before the game, or flying a private hot air balloon over the Southwest.

The in-terminal shop will remain open throughout the holiday season. The airline is also opening up an online shop at delta.com/windowseatshop available for the public starting on Nov. 15, 2023.

Although the collection could be described as one-of-a-kind, FlyerTalkers were not necessarily excited by what was offered through the online shop. Many complained about many items being sold out on the preview day for Delta American Express Cardholders, while others called it a selection of “surprisingly few random overpriced offerings.” It is unclear if and how often Delta will replenish the online store for shopping.
